Feeling limited by responsive web design, the status quo, or your tools? Next time around, ignore that tool or rule or that’s bothering you. Do it backwards, break the rules, use another tool instead. Whatever it takes. Try something different and go with your gut instead of the norm.
Worst case: You end up with something that doesn’t work. Easily fixed. Be glad you tried, have a laugh over it and start again tomorrow.
Best case: You come up with something awesome and new, and maybe even a better solution.
This is web design, we’re allowed to experiment and make things up as we go along. In fact, I think that’s part of the job. We have pretty sweet jobs.
