Designing Motion Workshop!

This was just announced earlier this week, so now I can spill the beans too! I’m super excited to be participating in the Interlink Workshops series next year!

I’ll be teaching the first one in the series and it’s going to be all about animating for the web. I’ll be covering lots of CSS3 transitions and animations and making things move with JavaScript. I’m putting together a bunch of examples so we can focus on actually making things over the course of the day. It’s the best way to learn this kind of thing and who doesn’t love going home with lots of example files, right? Equally as important, we’ll also focus on the design thinking behind what we’re creating. Plan for a day of a little bit of design, code, and motion theory, plus a whole lot of fun.

Have I mentioned that I’m really excited about the workshop? Not only will it be the first time I run this particular workshop, it’s also going to be my first time in Vancouver. (Yes, it’s almost embarrassing to admit that I haven’t been there yet!)

The workshop will run on Feb 8, 2010 in Vancouver. Tickets go on sale on Dec 7th. Hope to see you there! You can track it on lanyard too.
