For the second year in a row, we’re putting on the Pittsburgh area’s Flash-centric event, Flashpitt. I’m really excited to be putting on the event again this year! Thanks to all your feedback last year, we’ve added a day of workshops to the schedule this year, too. But we’ll still have the full day of educational and inspirational sessions on Friday. I really can’t tell you how excited I am to be doing Flashpitt again this year. I’ve always been impressed with how open and friendly the Flash community is, but it’s amazing how much more you see that when actually putting on an event.
If you’ve never been to a Flash community event like Flashpitt or others you owe it to yourself to go. You’ll learn a ton from the sessions for sure, but there is so much more to them than just attending sessions. The number of new people you’ll meet and the casual discussions over dinner/drinks are just as valuable.
We all spend a lot of time reading and sharing info over the internet, but nothing compares to the experience of actually getting to meet the community in person.
